What is Web 3.0

Web 3.0 is a blockchain-based decentralized web world powered by distributed ledger technology. Further- more, it will be the underlying infrastructure technology that drives the entire metaverse.

Within the Web 3.0 environment, everything in control will be decentralized, and both network builders and users will be able to hold tokens such as NFTs to access specific network services.

In contrast to Web 2.0, the difference is the interactive nature of the content. At present, enterprises are offering independent and centralized services, with all the value concentrated on a few corporate leaders such as Google, Apple, Amazon and Meta (Facebook). Although creation has become simpler and easier, application providers have begun to shift their goal to profitability. Nowadays, the main profit model of web companies is to pursue the click rate to get more advertising revenue, but it also gradually exposes the weakness of privacy and security of Web 2.0.
